I'm currently a PhD researcher at the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training
in Artificial Intelligence in the Centre for Digital Music
at Queen Mary University of London as part of their fifth cohort of researchers (2023-2027).
My project is focusing on the ways in which we can more efficiently train and deploy large audio models, supervised by Dr Ahmed Sayed.
Prior to my PhD I studied for an MSc in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, also at Queen Mary University of London, where my project was focused on the
application of deep learning to the mixdown process of music production, specifically for the mixing of drums. I've been producing music and DJing for over a
decade, so music has always been a big part of my life outside of my studies and being able to
marry work and play is a real treat.
Aside from AI and music, another big interest of mine is astronomy, as before pursuing a career in computer science I studied for an MSci in
Astrophysics, also at Queen Mary University of London. The dark side of the universe always fascinated me, and as such both of my projects, third and fourth
years, focused on dark matter and dark energy respectively.
